Acer palmatum ‘Hiryu’ is a very interesting Japanese maple with unique foliage. The leaves of ‘Hiryu’ have a thin, claw-like shape that is unlike any other Japanese maple. These strange leaves also have creamy white variegation along the edges of the lobes. The fall color on ‘Hiryu’ is a stunning array of yellows and oranges.
