Foliage appears lime green in early spring, with pink edges when located in more sun, on this rather slow growing dissectum. Summer color is medium green in more sun and dark green when grown in more shade. While very heat tolerant, 'Midori no teiboku' does appreciate some shade in hot climates. The growth habit is low and wide. The heavy texture of the leaves gives 'Midori no teiboku' an interesting and rugged appearance. Fall color ranges from solid yellow to yellow with orange in more sun.
