A very vigorous large growing Australian cultivar that is more upright when young becoming more spreading with age. This cultivar can become quite large the 16 year old specimen below is over 15 feet tall and 18 feet wide. Spring color is bright red, holding well into summer before turning bronze or green.  As this plant always seems to be growing, the gardener will be delighted to have fresh bright red shoots practically all summer long. Lionheart is also one of the most sun and heat tolerant dissectums, even in hot climates. Fall color is brilliant red and long lasting.
