Don't let the delicate appearance fool you this old cultivar is a strong grower and can even tolerate full sun in many climates but does appreciate some shade in hotter areas. Referenced in Japan in the 1700s, the name means misty silk and aptly describes the attractive soft green foliage in spring. The great fall color while usually orange can include red or gold.
