Acer palmatum ‘Beni hoshi’

Acer palmatum ‘Beni hoshi’ is an excellent dwarf Japanese maple with impressive colors throughout the year. ‘Beni hoshi’ has small, rounded leaves that emerge in spring a brilliant, deep red. These leaves then turn green in the summer. Come fall, the foliage of ‘Beni hoshi’ turns a bright, golden yellow. ‘Beni hoshi’ has a very dense, upright habit and forms a small, shrubby tree at maturity. Acer palmatum ‘Beni hoshi’ is synonymous with Acer palmatum ‘Ruby Stars’.
