Acer japonicum ‘Rising Sun’

 Acer japonicum ‘Rising Sun’ has some of the largest leaves of any Japanese maple. As someone that loves the large leaves of ‘Otaki’ and ‘Emmett’s Pumpkin’, ‘Rising Sun’ is a very exciting cultivar. These massive leaves are green from spring through the summer. The leaves then become a kaleidoscope or reds, oranges, and yellows in the fall that will knock your socks off.
