Acer japonicum ‘Meigetsu’
Acer japonicum ‘Meigetsu’ is a vigorous growing full moon Japanese maple with large, round leaves. ‘Meigetsu’ emerges in the spring with large, light green leaves. These leaves then darken to a dark green for most of the summer. Fall is when ‘Meigetsu’ puts on a show. Much like other full moon Japanese maple varieties, ‘Meigetsu’ has splashes of yellows, oranges, and reds across the foliage in the fall. The name ‘Meigetsu’ translates to “moon” in Japanese.
