Flat sprays of yellow foliage are displayed on mahogany colored contorted branches on this small Hinoki. The growth habit is loosely pyramidal and upright. Interesting fasciations appear on the terminal shoots of most branches giving this plant a very interesting texture. Foliage has bronze overtones in winter. 'Golden Whorl' should be protected from full sun in hot climates but the plant looses its characteristic yellow color if placed in to much shade.
