Acer palmatum ‘Will’s Devine’ is a beautiful Japanese maple with reticulated variegation in the spring. ‘Will’s Devine’ has dark, almost purple veining in the spring that gives the green and white leaves a very unique look compared to all other Japanese maples. The variegation does not hold well into the summer, but it is left with attractive green leaves. Fall color is a mix of yellows and oranges. ‘Will’s Devine’ is a shorter, bushier tree than most other uprights and shouldn’t grow past 8 feet in ten years. Protect ‘Will’s Devine’ from the hot afternoon sun for best results.
