Acer palmatum ‘Radiant’ is an extremely variegated Japanese maple. Pinks and whites are dusted all across the foliage in spring. The pinks will transition to white and cream as the calendar shifts to the summer months. These leaves then become bright red in the fall. ‘Radiant’ also has quite a bit of bark interest in the winter as well. Most variegated Japanese maples actually have varying degrees of colorful striations in the bark, but Radiant takes it to a whole different level. ‘Radiant’ often has rainbow streaks across its yellow bark, which is especially true during the winter months.
