Foliage emerges green with a pink or orange cast to the margins. The small deeply divided leaves then turn dark almost blue-green in summer. 'Koto hime' which means small harp, has a very interesting growth habit with leaves clustered around long stubby branches making a really great texture for the garden. Great for small plantings or containers, 'Koto hime' does prefer partial shade and is very tolerant of heavy shade. Fall color is yellow to orange.
